Refreshed 2024 Range Rover Velar gets price bump to $62,775
The refreshed 2024 Range Rover Velar luxury SUV features a revised dash with a streamlined touchscreen interface and a modest price bump of $1,200, Land Rover disclosed Wednesday. On sale now, the five-seat crossover SUV ranges in price from the base S for $62,775 to $86,070 for the top Dynamic HSE model. Prices listed include a $1,275 destination fee.
Land Rover freshened the face of its handsome SUV with a more detailed mesh grille, staircased daytime running lights similar to other Rover models, and a better integrated lower rear bumper.

The big change comes inside with a simplified dash design centered by an 11.4-inch touchscreen that replaces the twin screen design of its predecessor. Land Rover says it’s easier to read and easier to reach, and won’t suffer the same glare as the dual-screen set up that consumed the center stack. The touchscreen houses the climate controls buttons and most other vehicle control functions aside from the console-mounted gear shifter and push-button starter, giving the dash as smooth and spartan a take inside as outside.
Featuring the latest iteration of Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment system, the new touchscreen setup has sidebars for popular settings such as climate, seating, and navigation, and a start-up menu on engine start that shortcuts to climate-related controls. Land Rover says most tasks require two taps of the screen or less, making it safer, quicker, and less tedious. Over-the-air updates keep it fresh.

Powertrains remain the same for an SUV that’s as capable off-road as it is attractive to show up in at the red carpet. The base 247-hp 2.0-liter turbo-4 goes from 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 135 mph. The $64,875 Dynamic SE model can be had with a 3.0-liter turbo-6 and mild-hybrid combination for an extra $7,000. The powertrain makes 395 hp, has a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds, and a top speed of 155 mph.
Both engines pair to an 8-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard. The 3.0-liter engine comes with an adaptive suspension with a specific calibration for off-road driving as well as various drive modes that adjust inputs for the powertrain, transmission, all-wheel-drive system, suspension, and stability control.
The top HSE Dynamic uses this powertrain standard, but costs $86,070 and comes loaded with everything from 20-way massaging front seats and perforated leather upholstery to 21-inch wheels.
