Land Rover Introduces What It Calls the \u2018Ultimate\u2019 Range Rovers
Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations’ SV Bespoke personalization team has created a pair of exclusive new Range Rover special editions ready to get after the likes of the Bentley Bentayga and Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600.
Called Range Rover SVAutobiography Ultimate editions, Land Rover says the two new SUVS “represent the pinnacle of the Land Rover brand’s luxury SUV family, elevating the range-topping SVAutobiography and SVAutobiography Dynamic models even higher with a suite of complementary hand-finished SV Bespoke features.” The company adds that the SUVs show the full range of personalization touches Range Rover customers can specify.
Satin-finished Orchard Green paintwork, a Narvik Black roof, and copper details for starters, representing the classic combination of a green and black exterior with a modern twist, according to Land Rover. There’s also gloss black knurled infill and copper-edged metal badges on the hood and tailgate, a copper-plated and black enamel SV roundel on the B-pillar, SV roundels embroidered on the headrests, and illuminated Ultimate edition scuff plates. Oh, and there’s also an ‘SV Bespoke Ultimate edition’ plaque on the center console.
The long-wheelbase version offers power-closing rear doors, reclining airline-style heated and cooled leather rear seats, a hot stone massage function, a refrigerated compartment, and deployable tables.
The standard-wheelbase version is designed to be the sportier of the two, with a slightly stiffer suspension with active roll control. The exterior trim is finished in Graphite Atlas. Inside there’s a knurled finish for the rotary shift controller, start button and pedals, plus anodized red paddle shifters.
Land Rover’s 5.0-liter, 577-hp supercharged V8 powers both trucks.
A Land Rover official told Autoweek the trucks are not limited production, so have at it!
