Drivers have reported their car “does not run well on it” and have had a “horrible” feeling when behind the wheel. The petrol has been described as “simply awful” with some drivers even making the switch back to the old E5 fuel.

“Our filling station stopped selling E5 but he has had to restock it as trade plummeted when folk including me went looking for E5.”
Trevor Ammanford said: “After discovering that I get 10 percent less mpg with E10 scam petrol, I’ve gone back to using E5 petrol.
“It costs the same in the long run + less damage done.”
Meanwhile, plenty of readers have called for the petrol to be completely scrapped amid the controversy.
