Bring and Posten To Test Volta Zero EV Trucks In The Nordic Markets

Volta Trucks has secured an opportunity to presents its new vehicle in real-world service to potential volume customers.

Volta Trucks, a Swedish start-up engaged in battery-electric trucks, announced that its upcoming 16-tonne Volta Zero was selected for an exclusive trial by Bring and Posten in the Nordic markets.

The company is currently busy building its first prototype that will be launched later in 2020, to be ready for trials in Q1 2021.

The Posten (aka Norwegian Post) together with its subsidiary Bring brand, intends to test an undisclosed number of the Volta Zero in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, in inner-city mail and parcel pick-up and drop-off service.

“With the full-electric, zero-emission truck specifically designed to operate in inner city environments, the Volta Zero will be extensively tested in the locations it was designed to excel in, providing real-world data and driver feedback to engineers in the vehicle development programme.”

According to Volta Trucks, the Volta Zero will be able to drive 150-200 km (95-125 miles) on a single charge.
